Dr. Syed Ali Ashter is a Principal Engineer at Getinge Group’s Acute Care Therapies division helping develop Endovascular and Cardiovascular applications to the market. He has experience working in product and process development of Class I and Class III medical devices. Dr. Ashter has a Ph.D. in Plastics Engineering from University of Massachusetts Lowell. Dr. Ashter is a member of Society of Plastics Engineers and has been on the Board of Directors for the Medical Plastics division since 2012. Dr. Ashter is author of two books: “Thermoforming of Single and Multilayer Laminates” and “Introduction to Bioplastics Engineering”.
