Unlocking Your Career with LinkedIn

Early in my engineering career, my first Design Chief told me, “No one should care more about your career than you.” While that is true, this infographic can certainly help give it a boost.
Like most professionals, I have an account on LinkedIn. In fact, I was one of the first 10,000 users joining in 2003 – keeping my profile up to date over the years. With the addition groups, the publishing platform and skill endorsements, LinkedIn is growing faster than ever reaching over 414 million users today.
Groups are a great way to network and share experiences with like minded people with similar interest. Searching for groups on Chemicals results in more than 40 groups including the Chemical Engineer, the Process Engineer, Oil & Gas Process Engineer, and Process Engineering Professionals (Oil & Gas) to name a few. Check out the full list here.
If you’re looking for a way to improve your presence and get the most out of LinkedIn, check out the following seven part infographic created by Leisure Jobs to help you optimize your profile.
