As Vice President of Product Strategy & New Product Development for Elsevier’s engineering solutions, Achuth Rao is responsible for driving the product strategy and new product development for Knovel, an engineering information and decision-support solution used by engineering teams, R&D professionals, educators and academic researchers from leading organizations worldwide.

Achuth has extensive experience in engineering, product development and product management in CAD & CAE, ERP & CRM and Analytics at large enterprise and small companies including Dealertrack, Campus Management, Eka Software, Yahoo!, and AMD & ANSYS Inc. He holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University as well as a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing badminton, trekking and traveling with his family.
